The Rhineland Regional Council (LVR)
The Rhineland Regional Council works with a staff of around 14,000 people for almost ten million people who live in this region. With its 39 schools, nine hospitals, eleven museums and as one of Germany’s largest welfare service the LVR provides services in the areas of social welfare, health and education.
The Rhineland Regional Council (LVR) is an organization incorporating 14 urban authorities and 13 districts. They hold and finance the Regional Council, which is controlled by a parliament of about 100 communal members.
