Cast Collection

The stock of human fossils is spread all over the world today. Many of the original fossils are not accessible. The Neanderthal Museum has a central collection of casts which documents the evolution of the Hominids in general and that of the Neanderthals in particular.

This collection is accessible to academics for research purposes as well as to interested laymen. There are guided tours and workshops for pupils.

The establishment of the cast collection was possible thanks to donations from the Alfred Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.

If you are interested, our scientific assistant Kerstin Pannhorst will be glad to help you.
