Information for teachers and pre-school teachers

Visiting a museum with children and pupils? Of course!

The Neanderthal Museum offers great opportunities for the visit of your school class or nursery school group. In our Permanent Exhibition and Stone Age Workshop children can experience the museum as a place of non-school related learning in a new and exciting way.

The additional attractions in the exterior area, e.g. the Discovery Site, the “Human Traces” art trail and the Ice Age Game Reserve offer many ideas for teaching and free time and are ideal starting points for interdisciplinary project work and school lessons in Biology, History, Chemistry and Art.

On the following pages we want to present to you our concept of museum education for all age groups. You can use our different modules to arrange your visit in the vale to suit your own needs.

We will gladly advise you and provide information!
