Neanderthals - Strong People

Neanderthals had to be much stronger than we are today. They lived on hunting and gathering, they had to follow herds of wild animals or to know where the animals will pass by on their routes. Sometimes they had to walk day after day with all their belongings: Tent poles, hides, stone material, and, and, and. They didn’t know about carriages or pack animals. Each member of the group – males and females – needed to be strong and even the youngsters had to lend a hand.

Kawiuk: Sometimes, when I help the women harvest berries, I return with a few kilos on my back. And in the evening all the children have to gather firewood.
