Spark a fire

You will need two stones: one fire stone and a so-called marcasite stone! The marcasite contains iron. As soon as you strike the marcasite with the firestone, the marcasite will release red-hot particles: The sparks!

You have to let the sparks fall onto easily inflammable material. That might be tinder fungus (that is a specific mushroom growing on trees) or sedges (a marshland plant).

Carefully blow on the spark, so that it turns into a small flame. Adding straw and dry wood, the spark can become a real campfire!
