Special exhibition

Animal Masses.
The fascination of large numbers.

Photographs of Ingo Arndt

March, 23 to June, 30

Vast shoals, millions of birds setting up a giant cloud or umpteen thousand butterflies sitting together in the most confined of spaces. Ingo Arndt, photographer, has captured these mass gatherings within the animal kingdom on awesome pictures.

This special exhibition presents the best shots.  It might be the sheer plenty of always alike individuals in a confined space, the organisation which gets evident in the movement of the group or aesthetics expressing itself by the almost unendingly repeated pattern – for years photographer Ingo Arndt has been enthusiastic about this phenomenon and has witnessed it consistently.
