Primary School

The Neanderthal Museum and the surrounding area of the Neanderthal offer ideal conditions for the social studies (Sachkundeunterricht) of primary school pupils from grades 2 to 4.

  • Guided tour through the Permanent Exhibition – Especially tailored to the needs of primary school pupils these guided tours through the Permanent Exhibition allow the children to understand the long history of mankind.
  • Stone Age Workshop – The guided tour becomes even more exciting in the Stone Age Workshop where the children can take the tools and weapons from the Stone Age they have just seen in the exhibition into their own hands and use them. The topics “bold bowl”, “smart shell” und “attention! art!” are especially suited for this.
  • Guided tour around the game reserve – The ice-age game reserve offers fascinating insights into the world of the wild horses, the aurochs and wisents.

TIPP: Use our big playground towards the museum for a break or picnic. Do your naturalhistory lessons open outdoors in the Nature Conservancy Neanderthal!
